Looks like Amber Heard has kept her promise, as she has officially been credited as a donor for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

When Amber Heard and Johnny Depp first started their divorce proceeding following just 15 months of marriage, the actress promised to donate the money from the settlement to a worthwhile cause.

“Money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully, help those less able to defend themselves,” she said in a statement at the time.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s marriage reportedly suffered due to verbal and physical abuse.

“Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love,” read a joint statement from the couple.

“Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.”

Although the exact amount that Amber Heard donated is unclear, the annual report from the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles states that it was between $1 million and $5 million during July 1, 2016, and June 30, 2017.

“On behalf of all the children and families whose lives you have impacted, and everyone at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, we offer our sincere thanks,” read the annual report from the hospital.

We’re glad that Amber Heard kept her promise, and have no doubts that her contribution will do a world of good.
