Anna Faris and Chris Pratt have just announced that they will be divorcing, leaving fans around the world confused and heartbroken. Time to question everything you ever thought about real love, as one of Hollywood’s greatest couples is separating!

Anna and Chris fell in love on the set of Take me Home Tonight in 2007, before getting married in Bali in 2009.

“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating,” Chris Pratt said in a joint statement which he shared on Facebook.

“We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed.”

They’re not the only ones. The social media reaction to this separation has been phenomenal. More on this later…

“Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward,” the pair continued.

“We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

That’s what we like to see! Now, onto some internet reactions. Many fans offered heartfelt messages of support, such as the below…

“I know it’s ridiculous to care about a relationship involving two people you’ve never met. I know it’s crazy how much society today value celebrities and their lives. But I am honestly saddened to hear this just because they seemed so perfect together.”

While others went down the denial and dramatic route…

We are saddened to hear that Chris Pratt and Anna Faris will be separating, but we hope they can find happiness in the future while continuing to be there for their son, i.e. their number one priority.

And contrary to what half of Twitter might think right now, love is certainly not dead. We promise!
