The ever-outspoken Jennifer Lawrence had a lot to say about Harvey Weinstein, following the news that his legal team used her name as part of his defense.

The disgraced movie mogul’s lawyers have referenced both Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lawrence as part of his defense, as both actresses said that he didn’t sexually assault them.

Naturally, Jennifer Lawrence wasn’t happy that her name had been used in this way…

“He is just that horrible ass boil that does not go away,” J-Law said during an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“You pop the ass boil… He’s just the worst. When is it going to end?

“Like, in the middle of the night I had to come out with a statement in London and I was like, ‘It’s still not over? His awfulness is still happening?'”

The statement Jen was referring to was as follows…

“Harvey Weinstein and his company are continuing to do what they have always done which is to take things out of context and use them for their own benefit.

“This is what predators do, and it must stop. For the record, while I was not victimized personally by Harvey Weinstein, I stand behind the women who have survived his terrible abuse and I applaud them in using all means necessary to bring him to justice whether through criminal or civil actions. Time’s up.”

And from one Oscar-winning to another – Meryl Streep was also quick to release a similar statement, to make sure people knew she was not okay with Harvey Weinstein’s team using her name to defend him…

“Harvey Weinstein’s attorney’s use of my (true) statement—that he was not sexually transgressive or physically abusive in our business relationship—as evidence that he was not abusive with many OTHER women is pathetic and exploitive,” Meryl Streep wrote.

“The criminal actions he is accused of conducting on the bodies of these women are his responsibility, and if there is any justice left in the system he will pay for them—regardless of how many good movies, made by many good people, Harvey was lucky enough to have acquired or financed.”

Well said.
