Add Bebe Rexha to the list of celebrities deemed “not thin enough” for the red carpet.

Despite being nominated for ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Best Country Duo/Group Performance’ at the upcoming Grammy Awards, the 29-year-old singer isn’t looking forward to the ceremony as much as she had hoped.

Mainly because most designers are reportedly refusing to loan or make her a dress, as she is deemed “too big”. At a very small size US 6-8…

“So I finally get nominated at the Grammys and it’s like the coolest thing ever,” Bebe Rexha revealed in an Instagram video.

“And a lot of times artists will go and talk to designers and they’ll make them custom dresses to walk the red carpet.

“So I had my team hit out a lot of designers and a lot of them do not want to dress me because I’m too big.”

She continued to defend her size in the Instagram video, as well as the size of other women who are the same – and even bigger – clothes size.

“You’re saying all the women in the world that are a size 8 and up are not beautiful and that they cannot wear your dresses,” she added.

“So to all the people who said I’m thick and I can’t wear your dress, f—k you, I don’t want to wear your f—g dresses.”

We love a feisty woman. We hope designers are taking note!

“If you don’t like my fashion style or my music that’s one thing. But don’t say you can’t dress someone that isn’t a runway size,” she concluded.

“Empower women to love their bodies instead of making girls and women feel less then by their size. We are beautiful any size! Small or large!”

We couldn’t agree more!

We sincerely hope that at least one fashion designer will do away with the ‘runway sizes only’ tradition and dress the much-deserved Grammy nominee in a wonderful creation for her big night.

Fingers crossed!
