It’s only January, but 2020 is already, without a doubt, Billie Eilish’s year!

After dominating the Grammys on Sunday night with a staggering five wins, the 18-year-old will reportedly be taking on next month’s Academy Awards.

(Billie Eilish became the second artist in history to win a Grammy in all four of the ‘big four’ categories. Christopher Cross is the only other artist to achieve this, when he swept the Grammys way back in 1981.)

According to reports, Billie Eilish will be performing at the Oscars, despite her song not being one of the ‘Best Original Song’ Oscar contenders. The Academy has, however, listed it as a ‘Special Performance’…

“Are you ready?” The Academy teased on Twitter.

“@billieeilish will take to the #Oscars stage for a special performance! Watch live on @ABC.”

As she and her brother Finneas O’Connell have been given the honor of recording the theme song for the latest James Bond movie, No Time To Die, it’s looking pretty likely that that’s what she will sing.

The song could therefore make its debut on the Oscars stage. No biggie…

Billie Eilish will be in very good company, as the other musical performers will be Cynthia Erivo, Elton John, Idina Menzel, Chrissy Metz and Randy Newman. They will each be performing their songs that have been nominated in the ‘Best Original Song’ category.

The 2020 Academy Awards take place on February 9.
