Well, this is pretty terrifying…

According to reports, Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, and the rest of the cast and crew working on Marvel’s The Eternals were forced to evacuate the set due to a bomb scare.

“An unidentified object was found on the set where 2nd unit filming was taking place,” a source told E! Online.

A bomb squad was called to remove the device, after which, production continued as normal…

“Per safety protocol, the area was inspected and deemed safe, and production resumed,” the source added.

“No cast was present, but crew were asked to clear the area while the inspection occurred.”

The Marvel movie – which also stars Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, and Game of Thrones heartthrob Kit Harington – is being filmed in Fuerteventura. The Spanish island reportedly was used as a Nazi military base during World War II.

The device very well could have been there since World War II, but “nobody was taking any chances”

“It was obviously terrifying,” an insider told British tabloid, The Sun.

“The bomb could have been there for decades untouched, but who knows what might have happened if it was disturbed.

“Some of the biggest stars in the world were on set and nobody was taking any chances. Fortunately, experts dealt with it.”

We’re glad that everyone is safe following the scare!

The Eternals is slated for release in November 2020.
