Britney Spears is doing a lot of reflecting now she is a free woman!

The 40-year-old pop star has revisited one of her most infamous interviews of her entire career and hasn’t been shy about telling the world how she really feels about it almost 20 years later. Let’s just say, Britney has found her voice, and she isn’t afraid to use it!

Britney reflected on the infamous Diane Sawyer interview which she gave back in 2003 shortly after she had broken up with Justin Timberlake and slammed the broadcast journalist for making her cry.

She also went into detail about how the interview actually came about, telling her social media followers that she didn’t want to talk to anyone after her breakup, explaining that she wanted to be left alone in her Manhattan penthouse.

However, her now-estranged father Jamie Spears apparently showed up with three other men to arrange the interview with Diane Sawyer for ABC News, which Britney said was “pretty lame”.

“Something I never shared when I had that big breakup was that I couldn’t talk afterwards,” the Toxic singer wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post on Monday.

“I never spoke to anyone for a very long time. I was in shock.

“Pretty lame of my dad and three men to show up at my door when I could hardly speak.

“Two days later, they put Diane Sawyer in my living room. They forced me to talk!!! I was a baby … and didn’t understand but I f***ing know now.”

Some of the things Diane Sawyer infamously grilled the then 21-year-old singer on were having premarital sex (which she spoke out against in the early stages of her career), her alleged addiction to shopping, being late to a movie premiere, and giving the finger to the paparazzi, among other things. And of course, essentially blaming the singer for the breakup with Justin Timberlake…

“What was with the ‘you’re in the wrong’ approach?” Britney continued, in reference to Diane Sawyer’s questions.

“Jeez… and making me cry???

“I lived in my apartment for a year and never spoke to anyone … my manager put that woman in my home and made me talk to her on national television and she asked me if I had a shopping problem!!! When did I have a problem with shopping??? When I never left my apartment???”

“She said ‘woman or a girl’,” Britney recalled, in relation to Sawyer asking her if she was a woman or a girl, referencing her I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman song.

“I would like to say now, ma’am, I’m a Catholic slut. You wanna join me at a mass and I can serve your husband my certificate on shopping for anonymous players? I should spend a thousand dollars if I want every day of my life and she can kiss my white a**”

Wow – this post would definitely have not been allowed when Britney was under her 13-year conservatorship, we know that much!

The post was liked by Britney’s mom, Lynne Spears before it was taken down. (Why was it taken down, we wonder?)
