Coronavirus seems to be testing a lot of relationships… and one relationship that sadly didn’t make it was Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson’s.

The 27-year-old British supermodel and the 30-year-old Pretty Little Liars star have been dating for almost two years – and have managed to keep the details pretty private throughout.

According to reports, the pair called it quits just last month. Nothing major actually contributed to the split – for example, cheating – but the romance allegedly just fizzled out…

“Cara and Ashley always had their ups and down before but it’s over now,” an insider told People magazine.

“Their relationship just ran its course.”

Although Cara and Ashley have kept their relationship pretty private (they only went public a year after getting together) they made no secret of their love on social media.

Back in December, Cara posted a very heartfelt Instagram message to Ashley on her 30th birthday…

“Happy birthday @ashleybenson There is so much I could say but something I love and cherish most about us is that I don’t need to because YOU KNOW and that’s all that matters,” the post began.

“It’s you and me which is my favourite. My safe place. You let me be silly, you let me be wild, you keep me free, secure and curious. I feel like I’ve known you my entire life and I am so proud of watching you grow into the woman that you always dreamt of being.

“I love you beyond words my sprinkles, choonchi, angel face, grumpy ass, sweet cheeks, never boring, buttmunch, Benson.”

And back in October, Cara even opened up to Elle magazine about being in love and not being ashamed of their relationship, which is why we are pretty devastated that these two couldn’t make it work…

“It just feels incredible when you’re not alone, when you’re facing the world with someone else,” she told Elle for its October 2019 issue.

“I don’t want to be so secretive that people think I’m ashamed of anything. But I’ve never been in a relationship where things are so public, or where I posted pictures of someone else,” she continued.

“This seemed different. We had gotten to the point where we had kept it a secret, or at least not wanted attention, and now I feel like I’m not going to not be proud.”

Oh, Cara…

We remain hopeful that Cara and Ashley will follow in the footsteps of fellow supermodel Gigi Hadid and her on/off boyfriend – and now baby daddy – Zayn Malik and reconcile.

This can’t be the end for Cash! What say you?
