It’s just been announced that this year’s American Music Awards will be hosted by none other than Cardi B – and we couldn’t be more excited to see her take to the stage as we think she will be one of the best hosts ever!

Naturally, the WAP rapper was just as excited with the news…

“When I received the invite to host the AMAs, I was so excited,” the five-time AMA winner said in a statement.

“I’m ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage! Thank you to Jesse Collins, ABC and MRC for making this happen.”

Her personality is the thing we are the most excited about – although her potential wardrobe choices come a close second! It’s going to be an unforgettable show that will likely go down in history, which the AMA team said was one of the main reasons they asked the rapper to host.

“We are immensely excited to have the dynamic Cardi B bring her infectious energy to the American Music Awards as a first-time host,” AMAs executive producer Jesse Collins said.

“She will excite the viewers, push the limits and deliver a show that will be remembered forever!”

The mom-of-two is up for three awards this year: ‘Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Song’ and ‘Favorite Video’ for Up, as well as ‘Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Female Artist.’

Other nominees include Olivia Rodrigo, who is the year’s most-nominated artist with a total of eight nominations (wow!), two of which are in the coveted ‘Artist of the Year’ and ‘New Artist of the Year’ categories. The Weeknd has the second-most nods, receiving six nominations, while Doja Cat, Giveon and Bad Bunny have five nominations each. It’s going to be an epic night!

The AMAs will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 21 at 8:00 p.m. EST/PST and will air live on ABC. You can also stream it the next day on Hulu. We can’t wait!
