It’s official – Cardi B and Offset are no longer getting divorced!
Cardi B filed for a “dissolution of marriage” on September 15, but the case has officially been closed, just two days before they would have been due in court for the first time.
The 28-year-old rapper – real name Belcalis Almanzar – reportedly had the case dismissed “without prejudice” on Monday, which means she legally has the right to refile the divorce at a later date if she wants to.
The WAP rapper seemingly got back together with the Migos singer – real name Kiari Cephus – on her 28th birthday last month, less than a month after filing for divorce. We’re not sure if the fact that Offset gifted her with a Rolls Royce had anything to do with her taking him back…
Cardi B later told fans that the relationship was complicated (understatement!) and no one should judge her. And at the end of the day, she simply missed her husband and “best friend”…
“I just be starting to miss him,” she said on social media at the time.
“It’s hard not to talk to your best friend. It’s really hard not to talk to your best friend.”
The couple’s reconciliation – and the fact that the divorce was officially called off – was confirmed by Offset’s lawyer.
“I can confirm that the divorce filed by Cardi B has been dismissed,” Offset’s lawyer Onyema Anene Farrey told Billboard.
“My firm and I have always been an advocate for helping fathers protect what’s most important to them – their families and their children. That was no different here.
“We remain in Offset’s corner and in support of him and his future. He thanks his fans for their continued love and support.”
