Dita von Teese has come to the defense of her ex-husband, Marilyn Manson, following the recent abuse claims made against him.

Earlier this week, 33-year-old Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood claimed that the musician – real name Brian Warner – “horrifically abused” her when they were together…

“He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years,” Evan Rachel Wood – who was just 19 when she started dating the then 38-year-old musician – said.

“I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail.

“I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the victims who will no longer be silent.”

However, Dita von Teese – who was briefly married to Marilyn Manson between 2005 and 2006 – has defended him, adding that she doesn’t believe the allegations are true. Because, as she put it, if they were, she wouldn’t have dated him for seven years, or even married him…

“To those who have expressed your concerns of my well-being, I appreciate your kindness,” the 48-year-old burlesque dancer and lingerie designer shared on Instagram.

“Please know that the details made public do not match my personal experience during our 7 years together as a couple.

“Had they, I would have not married him in December 2005. I left 12 months later due to infidelity and drug abuse.

“Abuse of any kind has no place in any relationship. I urge those of you have incurred abuse to take steps to heal and the strength to fully realize yourself.”

Marilyn Manson hasn’t responded to Dita von Teese’s message yet, but he did seem to respond to Evan Rachel Wood’s initial allegations…

“Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality,” the 52-year-old singer said in a statement, which he shared on social media a few days ago.

“My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners.

“Regardless of how—and why—others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”

We wonder if anyone else will come forward, or if Evan Rachel Wood has anything more to say…
