Hilary Duff has spoken out about the “disgusting” comments she received after posting a nude (but censored) picture of her son on social media.

The 32-year-old Younger star shared a (now deleted) Instagram Story of a wall of photographs featuring her 8-year-old son Luca, and 1-year-old daughter Banks Violet.

In one of the pictures, Luca can be seen lying down without any clothes on, so Hilary did the right thing by covering his body parts up with a sticker.

However, that didn’t stop people from commenting about the picture being inappropriate. Some social media users even went one step further and accused the actress of promoting “sex trafficking”.

As expected, Hilary Duff was quick to shut down the haters…

“Someone pointed out on Instagram that I did a nude of him, which I did, so we covered that up with sticker,” Hilary initially said.

She also wrote another post on Twitter addressing the “disgusting” remarks about sex trafficking…

“Everyone bored af right now I know..but this is actually disgusting,” she wrote on Twitter.

“Whoever dreamed this one up and put this garbage into the universe should take a break from their damn phone. Maybe get a hobby.”

Hilary Duff and her people are obviously taking the allegations and trolling very seriously. Her reps issued a statement addressing the “disgusting internet lie”…

“Let me say this in the strongest terms, this is all a fabricated disgusting internet lie, created and perpetuated by trolls and idiots,” the statement began.

“Hilary’s own post this morning is all that needs to be said on the matter. Everyone who knows Hilary is fully aware what an amazing mom she is and that requires no further comment.

“If only people with this much time on their hands used their energy to solve real problems in the world.”

Well said.

Hilary Duff is a proud mom to 8-year-old son Luca, who she shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie, and 1-year-old daughter Banks Violet, who she shares with husband Matthew Koma.
