After staying silent all week, Justin Timberlake has finally addressed the hand holding scandal.

We told you earlier this week that Justin Timberlake had come under fire after being spotted holding hands with 30-year-old Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright during a drunken night out in New Orleans.

And now the 38-year-old singer and actor has finally broken his silence, by issuing a public apology to his wife, Jessica Biel, on social media…

“A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my co-star. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better,” he wrote on Instagram.

“This is not the example I want to set for my son,” he continued, referencing the son he shares with Jessica Biel.

“I apologise to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that.”

Jessica Biel has not yet responded to the scandal or her husband’s apology.
