The day we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived – the day the Britney vs Spears Netflix documentary comes out, of course!

While we are very excited about watching the documentary all about her controversial conservatorship, not everyone feels the same way. In particular, one of the main subjects of the documentary…

Yes, Britney Spears has made it very clear that she isn’t actually a fan of the Netflix documentary, and has criticized everything from the “dialogue” to the “footage”, adding that it is all “the past” and therefore not what people should focus on.

We’re not hugely surprised that the pop star had mixed feelings about the documentary, as she said she “cried for two weeks” after watching the Framing Britney Spears documentary made by The New York Times when it came out in February this year.

The 39-year-old pop star – who is due in court tomorrow (Wednesday, September 29) to fight for her freedom and remove her father Jamie Spears as her official guardian – took to Instagram to share her thoughts with her fans…

“It’s really crazy guys … I watched a little bit of the last documentary and I must say I scratched my head a couple of times !!!” she wrote.

“I really try to disassociate myself from the drama !!! Number one … that’s the past !!! Number two … can the dialogue get any classier [shrug, nerd and sobbing emojis] ???

“Number three … wow they used the most beautiful footage of me in the world [weary emoji] !!! What can I say .. the EFFORT on their part [applause and eye-rolling emojis] !!!”

Britney didn’t reference the documentary by name and simply referred to it as the “last documentary” because there have been quite a few over the years. Controlling Britney Spears, the follow-up to the New York Times Framing Britney Spears documentary has also recently come out, so there is a slight chance that she could have been referring to that one. However, due to the timing of her post and the release date of the Netflix documentary, the world has put two and two together and made the assumption that she is indeed talking about Britney vs Spears, which is out today.

Interestingly, the Instagram post that is currently on her profile wasn’t her original post about her thoughts on the Netflix documentary. Before writing the one that is currently on her Instagram profile, the Womanizer singer wrote another one which has now been deleted. It was almost identical to the current one, but had a very different first sentence…

“It’s really crazy guys … I watched a little bit of the last documentary and I hate to inform you but a lot of what you heard is not true !!!” the original post began, which was in place of her current opening line about scratching her head.

We will bear what Britney has said in mind when watching Britney vs Spears…
