Jameela Jamil has made no secret of the fact that she disapproves of celebrities promoting weight loss products. Even more so if they don’t know what’s in them, or actually take the products themselves…

The 33-year-old The Good Place star – and body positivity advocate – believes that celebs are misleading the public, which can be very dangerous for girls as young as 13 years old…

“They’re selling products that they’re not announcing the side effects of on their posts,” she said on Emerging Hollywood.

“They’re selling products with bold claims of abilities with weight loss and aesthetic differences. They are attributing their aesthetic, which is down to a trainer, a chef, a dietitian, Photoshop and surgery to a powder that you buy over the internet.”

Although there is nothing that suggests that they don’t, Jameela is convinced that the likes of Khloe Kardashian, Cardi B and Iggy Azalea (to name just three) don’t practice what they preach…

“They don’t drink them. I don’t even know if these people really take these products,” she added.

“They definitely can’t know what’s in them, because you would never recommend that to a 13-year-old.”

She might have a point there!

Despite her disapproval, Jameela has insisted that she isn’t “canceling” the celebs in question, and is instead giving them a chance to rectify their mistakes…

“I don’t cancel the Kardashians or Iggy Azalea or Cardi B. I’m not canceling them, I’m reprimanding them,” Jameela clarified.

“It’s fine to call someone out, because you’re offering them the opportunity of changing and doing better.”

And she might be onto something, as just last month, Khloe Kardashian deleted an advert for a Flat Tummy Co. meal replacement shake. To which Jameela was noticeably very happy about…

“Oh look. Khloé deleted her diet shake post,” the actress wrote at the time on Instagram.

“There is hope after all…”
