Britney Spears broke her silence in a Los Angeles court earlier this week (technically it was via Zoom, but you know…) in a bid to end her “abusive” and “traumatic” 13-year-conservatorship.

The 39-year-old singer spoke candidly to a Los Angeles superior court judge for roughly 20-minutes on Wednesday, in a desperate bid to regain her freedom – and boy did the world listen!

As well as her loyal army of fans, who have been campaigning to “#FreeBritney” from the conservatorship for years, many A-listers also took to social media to share their messages of support for the pop star…

“We love you Britney!!! Stay strong,” Mariah Carey wrote on Twitter, alongside three red heart emojis.

“Sending all my love and support to Britney Spears and her fans,” Brandy added.

“Bless Britney and I hope with my whole heart she is awarded freedom from this abusive system,” Halsey wrote.

“She deserves it more than anything. I admire her courage speaking up for herself today.”

“After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time,” Justin Timberlake, who dated the singer between 1999 and 2002, wrote on Twitter.

“Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right.”

He also referenced the shocking allegations we heard earlier this week, i.e. that Britney was forced to have an IUD so she couldn’t get pregnant and have another child…

“No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body,” the former NSYNC singer added.

“Oldest trick in the playbook of the patriarchy: declare a woman mad and gain control of her assets/property. Been happening for centuries,” Liz Phair Tweeted, before referencing the double standards between men and women in the public eye…

“Please show me The equivalent conservatorships for male entertainers/athletes exhibiting erratic behavior,” she added.

Rose McGowan, who regularly speaks out against abuse and harassment, also echoed Liz Phair’s message…

“Britney Spears has every right to be angry,” Rose McGowan wrote on Twitter.

“How would you feel if your life was stolen, dissected, mocked? I pray she gets to live your life on her terms. STOP CONTROLLING WOMEN. #FreeBritney”

We’re glad to see that so many famous faces have Britney’s back!

According to E! News, the singer “only recently gained access to be able to do online research” into her conservatorship, which is why it has taken her so long to appear before a judge.

She is said to be currently waiting for her lawyer, Samuel D. Ingham III, to file the correct documents which will request the termination of the conservatorship.

We’re crossing everything!
