Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have donated an extraordinary $500,000 to the Malibu Fire Relief efforts currently involved in the California wildfires.

Miley was not in the country when her and Liam’s $2.5 million four-bedroom home burned down over the weekend, but told her fans that she was eternally grateful that Liam, along with all of their animals, made it to safety…

“I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely and that’s all that matters right now,” she wrote on social media.

“My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family and friends stand strong. I am grateful for all I have left. Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefighters and L.A. County Sheriff’s department!”

According to a rep for the couple, Miley and Liam’s sizable donation will reportedly be “used for those in financial need, emergency relief assistance, community rebuilding, wildfire prevention, and climate change resilience.”

“Their community and state are very special to them and they want to give back to the place that has created so many beautiful memories for themselves and others,” the rep continued to E! News.

“They are donating $500,000 dollars to The Malibu Foundation through Miley’s charity, Happy Hippie in hopes to restore Malibu’s magic.”

Ellen DeGeneres and Walmart have also teamed up to donate $100,000 to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.

We’re glad to see the A-listers pulling together to donate these large sums of money, while also encouraging others to give what they can.

Every little donation helps!
