Miley Cyrus has opened up about her first and perhaps biggest role as Hannah Montana, saying it felt “ridiculous” once she turned 18 years old. Even more so once she had sex…

“I wanted to stop being Hannah Montana once I was 18 because it felt ridiculous,” the 26-year-old admitted to Elle magazine.

“The minute I had sex, I was kind of like, ‘I can’t put the f**king wig on again’. It got weird. It just felt like…I was grown up.”

She then recalled a particularly memorable moment at Disneyland, which she compared to her “dream crushing” situation…

“One time I went backstage at Disneyland, and Peter Pan was smoking a cigarette. And I was like, ‘That’s me. That’s the kind of dreams I’m crushing,'” she added.

“That’s how everyone felt with the bong video, but I’m not a Disney mascot. I’m a person.”

It’s now been eight years since she retired her infamous blonde wig (where has the time gone?) but regardless of some of the bad points, Miley said that she would always have fond memories of her alter ego…

“It’s pretty cool when you hear Cardi B was listening to Hannah Montana when she was in high school,” Miley added.

“That sh*t makes me happy.”

But enough about Hannah Montana. Miley Cyrus is about to release her highly anticipated new album, She is Miley Cyrus, which everyone is more than a little excited about.

Miley explained the title of her new EP to Elle, and quite frankly, we have goosebumps…

“‘She’ does not represent a gender. She is not just a woman. ‘She’ doesn’t refer to a vagina. She is a force of nature. She is power. She can be anything you want to be, therefore, she is everything,” she says of her LP’s title.

“She is the super she. She is the she-ro. She is the She-E-O.”

Girl power!
