Bad news for Nick Cannon, as it’s just been announced that his daytime talk show has officially been canceled after just one season!

According to reports, The Nick Cannon Show was not a big hit with viewers at home, as audience numbers showed that it attracted just 400,000 viewers, making it the lowest-rated talk show at the time. Yikes!

“It’s never easy to cancel a production with clear potential, but after a great deal of deliberation and examining various options, we have made the difficult business decision to end production on Nick Cannon,” Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein, co-presidents at Debmar-Mercury (the series’ Lionsgate-owned producer-distributor) said in a statement.

“We plan to offer viewers original episodes of the daytime talk show through the remainder of this season.

“Our thanks go to the very talented Nick Cannon and our wonderful production team, and we wish Nick continued success with his many hit ventures.”

Not all of the 41-year-old’s ventures are hits though, as it was also announced this week that Judge Jerry would be canceled after three seasons, and The Good Dish would also not be renewed after just one season. Ouch!

TV is going to look a lot different towards the end of this year, as The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Wendy Williams Show are also coming to an end.

As we told you earlier this week, Wendy’s show will be replaced by Sherri, a similar daytime talk show hosted by The View alum Sherri Shepherd, which we are pretty excited about!

Jennifer Hudson will also be getting her own talk show on Fox too, as The Jennifer Hudson Show is slated to launch in the fall!

Fans still wanting to get their Nick Cannon TV fix can still catch him on Fox’s The Masked Singer and VH1’s Wild ‘N Out.
