Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock has given a very generous $100,000 to the Humane Society of Ventura County, who is caring for the thousands of animals evacuated in the California wildfires. It seems Kim Kardashian isn’t the only A-lister using her fame and fortune to help the victims of the California wildfires.

The society, as you can imagine, was deeply moved by the donation, and thanked the actress on its Facebook page…

“The Humane Society of Ventura County was deeply humbled today by a $100,000 donation from Sandra Bullock and family,” the Facebook post began.

“Our efforts for rescuing and caring for evacuated animals from the Hill and Woolsey fires had caught her attention and her team reached out to the shelter to show their support.

“Sandra Bullock and her family have reached out to other nonprofit organizations both during this incident and in the past.

“However, this time she wanted to contribute to those on the frontline rescuing animals in peril and hope others will choose to do the same.”

According to the HSVC, the staff and volunteers provide care for all animals, ranging from horses, donkeys, pigs, chickens, and all household pets such as dogs and cats etc, until it is safe for them to be returned to their owners.

“The HSVC pledges to care for these animals for as long as is needed or until their owners feel comfortable in safely reuniting their families,” the post added.
