Here’s another reason to get excited for The Oscars…

It’s just been announced that the one and only Jennifer Hudson will be performing at the Oscars ceremony later this month. And we can already feel our spines tingling!

The former Oscar-winner – who walked away with the Best Supporting Actress accolade back in 2007 for her magnificent portrayal of Effie White in Dreamgirls – will be performing Oscar-nominated song, I’ll Fight.

The Academy made a very exciting announcement via social media….

“Things we’d like to announce today: 1. @IAMJHUD will perform the nominated song ‘I’ll Fight’ on the #Oscars!,” the Academy wrote on Twitter.

“2. This has been our favorite tweet of the day.”

The song is featured in the RBG documentary, and is nominated for ‘Best Original Song’ alongside songs from A Star Is Born, Black Panther, Mary Poppins Returns and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

A tough category, we must say!

Although nothing has been officially confirmed, it’s widely speculated that Lady Gaga will perform Shallow, and Kendrick Lamar and SZA will perform All the Stars at the ceremony too.

The Oscars will be taking place on Sunday, February 24 at the Dolby Theatre.

We can’t wait!
