Westworld and Thor: Ragnarok star Tessa Thompson has finally opened up about her sexuality, in a tell-all interview with Porter.

“I’m attracted to men and also to women,” she told the mag.

However, as open as she has been about her sexuality, she still left fans guessing about her relationship with Janelle Monáe.

Fans have speculated that the pair has been dating for years; not only have they openly walked the red carpet together, but Tessa Thompson has also appeared in Janelle Monáe’s music video…

“It’s tricky because Janelle and I are just really private people and we’re both trying to navigate how you reconcile wanting to have that privacy and space and also wanting to use your platform and influence,” Tessa Thompson said.

“We love each other deeply. We’re so close, we vibrate on the same frequency.  

“If people want to speculate about what we are, that’s okay. It doesn’t bother me.”

We think her breezy, worry-free attitude has a lot to do with her upbringing, as Tessa mentioned that she grew up in a “free” household where “you can be anything that you want to be”…

“That was something I was conscientious of in terms of this declaration around Janelle and myself,” she added.

“I want everyone else to have that freedom and support that I have from my loved ones. But so many people don’t.”

And her ‘is she/isn’t she’ girlfriend Janelle Monáe has also addressed her sexuality in the media…

“Being a queer black woman in America, someone who has been in relationships with both men and women – I consider myself to be a free-a*s motherf*cker,” she told Rolling Stone earlier this year after she made headlined by coming out as pansexual.

It doesn’t matter what label they put on their relationship as long as they are happy – are we right?
