Huge congratulations to Zendaya Coleman, as she has just received her first-ever Emmy nomination!

The 23-year-old actress received the ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series’ nod for her stunning portrayal of Rue Bennett in HBOs Euphoria.

And even though anyone who has watched her in the show will understand why she deserves the nomination, Zendaya told fans that she was “speechless” when she found out…

“I’m honestly speechless, my heart is just overflowing with love and gratitude,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I’m so incredibly honoured to work beside the talented people that I get to call family. I am a small piece of a big beautiful puzzle and I’m so proud of all of you.

“Thank you to everyone out there who’s watched and given our show life.”

Zendaya faces very stiff competition though, as Jennifer Aniston (The Morning Show), Olivia Colman (The Crown), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Laura Linney (Ozark) and Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) are also nominated in the same category.

We don’t think we can call it…

Euphoria is also shortlisted for five other awards, including ‘Outstanding Contemporary Costumes’, ‘Outstanding Music Composition For a Series’ and ‘Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics’.

The 2020 Emmy Awards are currently scheduled for September – that is, unless Coronavirus has other plans – with Jimmy Kimmel announced as host for the third time.

Good luck, everyone!
