He may have apologized to everyone EXCEPT Chris Rock during his ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ acceptance speech at the Oscars on Sunday night, but now it looks like Will Smith is finally reaching out to the comedian to say sorry for his behavior.

(In case you missed it – where have you been?! – the King Richard actor slapped Chris Rock on stage during the Oscars after the comedian made a joke about wife Jada Pinkett-Smith’s shaved head, which she most likely shaved due to her ongoing battle with alopecia.)

“Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive,” the 53-year-old Oscar-winner wrote in a statement that he shared on his Instagram account.

“My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable.

“Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.

“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”

His apology comes after rapper P-Diddy insisted that the pair had actually worked things out following the ceremony.

Will Smith also once again apologized to the Academy (he apologized to them during his acceptance speech on Sunday night) in the statement, as well as to the Williams family, and his ‘King Richard Family’…

“I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world.

“I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us.

“I am a work in progress,” he concluded.

We’re glad to see that the actor has finally apologized.

P Diddy has confirmed that all is well and good between Chris Rock and Will Smith, following their dramatic altercation at Sunday night’s Oscars, which saw Will Smith rush to the stage to hit Chris Rock after he made a joke about wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head, which is due to her ongoing battle with alopecia.

At the time of the now-viral altercation, P Diddy – real name Sean Combs – said, “Will and Chris, we’re going to solve this – but right now we’re moving on with love.”

Well, it seems like the rapper was true to his word, as he made sure that the two men resolved things…

“That’s not a problem. That’s over. I can confirm that,” Diddy reportedly confirmed to Page Six at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party following the ceremony.

“It’s all love,” he added. “They’re brothers.”

Will Smith – who walked away with the ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ Oscar for his role as Venus and Serena Williams’ father Richard Williams in King Richard – seemed to have forgotten his troubles at the Vanity Fair after-party in Beverly Hills…

The 53-year-old actor was spotted dancing and singing along to his greatest hits, including Summertime, Miami, and Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It, while his wife and children, Trey, 29 (from his previous relationship with Sheree Zampino) Jaden, 23, and Willow, 21, were also dancing along with him.

Chris Rock wasn’t at the Vanity Fair after-party, and instead attended Gucci’s 14th annual “The Party” which was held at the home of Guy Oseary.

Let’s hope that the two really have put everything behind them!

The 94th Academy Awards were a little different last night – not because of the pandemic, an unexpected fall, or because of someone reading out the wrong winner (that was so 2017!) but because of one on-stage event that NO ONE could predict or believe!

We are of course talking about ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ nominee – and then winner – Will Smith, who rushed to the stage to hit presenter Chris Rock after he made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

To refresh your memories, here’s what went down as it happened…

Chris Rock, who was presenting an award for ‘Best Documentary Feature’, made a jibe at Jada Pinkett Smith, by referencing her shaven head…

“Jada, I love you, GI Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,” Chris Rock said, which Will Smith initially appeared to laugh at, before quickly changing his tune after his wife rolled her eyes and clasped her hands together.

Jada has spoken openly for years about her battle with alopecia, which she was officially diagnosed with in 2018, and walked the red carpet with a shaved head as opposed to a weave, wig, or hair extensions.

Will Smith then got up from his seat and approached the presenter, who was trying to carry on with the show and then hit him. He then shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f****** mouth,” before returning to his seat, and then repeated the same thing when he arrived back at his seat. Wow!

A shocked Chris Rock said, “Wow dude. It was a GI Jane joke.”

Lupita Nyong’o, who was sitting next to the Smiths, looked extremely shocked by what was happening, as did the rest of the audience in the theatre, as well as at home.

Chris Rock then tried to make light of the situation by saying: “Oh wow, Will just smacked the s*** out of me. That was the greatest night in the history of television.”

Will Smith referenced and seemingly apologized (or perhaps tried to justify?) the slap in his ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ acceptance speech, which he won for his role as Venus and Serena Williams’ father, Richard Williams, in the also Oscar-nominated movie, King Richard.

The Oscar-winner apologized to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and his fellow nominees, but left Chris Rock out…

“Ah man. Richard Williams was a fierce defender of his family. In this time in my life, in this moment, I am overwhelmed by what God is calling on me to do and to be in this world,” he said in his acceptance speech.

“I want to apologize to the Academy and to all my fellow nominees, this is beautiful moment, and I’m not crying for winning an award, it’s about being able to shine a light on all of the people.

“Love will make you do crazy things. Thank you for this honor, thank you for this moment, thank you to the Williams family, I hope the Academy invites me back.”

That remains to be seen; but as things currently stand, Chris Rock has reportedly not pressed charges, and the Los Angeles Police Department said no report had been filed in relation to the on-stage incident between Chris Rock and Will Smith.

Britney Spears isn’t the only A-lister to free herself from her controversial conservatorship, as Amanda Bynes has also followed in the Womanizer singer’s footsteps!

A California judge has reportedly terminated the 35-year-old She’s The Man actress’s nine-year conservatorship, which placed her mother Lynn as her official guardian since 2013.

And according to reports, both of Amanda’s parents were in full support of her conservatorship coming to an end, which is why the judge saw no issue with making the decision.

Judge Roger L Lund of Ventura County Superior Court told The New York Times: “She’s done everything the court has asked over a long period of time.”

Tamar Arminak, a lawyer for Lynn and Rick Bynes, said that her mom “could not be more proud of what Amanda has accomplished getting through the last few difficult years”.

“Both mother and daughter I know are happy to restart a relationship that doesn’t include this conservatorship and focus on the endless possibilities available to Amanda now that the conservatorship is over,” he added.

Amanda thanked fans “for their love and well wishes during this time”, according to People.

“I would also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their support over the last nine years,” she continued.

“In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter.

“I am excited about my upcoming endeavors – including my fragrance line – and look forward to sharing more when I can.”

Amanda’s lawyer David A Esquibias previously told Variety that Amanda is “excited ” to return to her normal life. And although he said she hasn’t specifically mentioned going back to acting, fans are hoping that it could be on the cards in the not-so-distant future…

“We’re all excited and we’re all anxiously looking forward to Amanda living a life as a private and normal citizen,” Esquibias said.

“I have not heard her say that she’s interested in returning to becoming an actress, but I wouldn’t rule that out.

“She has a new life ahead of her and she is so young. She was a great actress. I’m sure many people would love to see her return to acting.”

We’re equally surprised and excited to discover that the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That, has officially been renewed for a second season!

“I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters — played by these powerful, amazing actors,” executive producer Michael Patrick King shared in a statement.

“The fact is, we’re all thrilled. And Just like That… our Sex life is back.”

Sarah Aubrey, the head of original content at HBO Max, also weighed in on the good news, saying: “We have been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much.”

“We are proud of the work Michael Patrick King and our wonderful writers, producers, cast and crew have done to bring these stories to the screen,” she continued.

“We can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for season two.”

The premiere of the first season became HBO Max’s strongest debut to date if you can believe it, and reportedly performed better than any other HBO Max Original series premiere!

However, AJLT wasn’t without its controversy, as fans felt it lacked what the original SATC had for so many reasons, including unrealistic storylines involving the most beloved characters…

Chrissy Teigen has always been open with her fans about her fertility struggles and made no secret of the fact that she was undergoing IVF so that she and husband John Legend could give daughter Luna, 5, and son Miles, 3, a little brother or sister.

Well, now the Cravings author has once again shared a message with her fans, telling them that she has completed her IVF journey, adding that she feels so much “healthier” now that the process is complete!

“I finished my IVF part, so I feel so much healthier and so much better with that,” the 36-year-old former Sports Illustrated model told Entertainment Tonight.

Chrissy let her fans in on her IVF journey back in February when she posted the following message on social media: “I wanted to let you guys know I’m balls deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggos as I possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos.

“I honestly don’t mind the shots, they make me feel like a doctor/chemist but the bloating is a b****, so I humbly beg you to stop asking if I’m pregnant because while I know it’s said with excited, good intentions, it just kind of sucks to hear because I am the opposite of pregnant!”

She also previously took to her Instagram Story to share a video of herself giving herself a shot, reassuring fans that the injection doesn’t actually hurt…

“No, it doesn’t hurt,” the Lip Sync Battle co-host said.

“The other shot burns a bit. (OK a lot). They say to pinch the skin, but I feel like that makes it burn more. But listen to your doc lol.”

We love how open and honest she is being with her fans, and hope that she will share the happy news she has been waiting for in the not-so-distant future!

It’s just been revealed that Kanye West will no longer be performing at the Grammys next month… and it’s all because of his “concerning online behavior”.

It’s assumed that the behavior being referred to has a lot to do with last week’s Trevor Noah racial slur, although the 44-year-old Yeezy designer has been posting – and deleting – a lot of concerning things over the past few months, as he is seemingly struggling to cope with his divorce from Kim Kardashian.

Kanye hasn’t responded to the news, although The Game, who collaborated with the rapper on his track, Eazy, took to social media to share his thoughts…

“The Grammys have at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming,” The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, wrote on Instagram.

“Could be because @trevornoah is hosting and there was a conversation held amongst his team & the academy that led to the decision or because Ye’s account was suspended just days ago for reasons unknown especially in a world where all the negativities of the world can be found on the same app with no repercussions or suspensions.

“Speak your mind in this country for yourself, family or your people & you’re ostracized immediately & if you push them hard enough they will stop at no ends to try and put an end to you as a whole.

“I can’t sleep at night knowing I was quiet about issues burning holes in my heart or narratives incorrectly pushed by the mass agenda to create a mind set that the person at hand is krazy or has issues internally that are beyond repair.”

Although he will now no longer be performing, it’s believed that Kanye is still expected to attend the awards ceremony on April 4th, as his 2021 Donda album has been nominated for five awards, including the coveted Album of the Year award.

Trevor Noah isn’t fighting fire with fire, and instead, has issued a surprisingly compassionate response to Kanye West following the 44-year-old rapper’s recent social media attack which got him banned from Instagram for 24 hours for using a racial slur directed at the 38-year-old South African comedian.

Kanye lashed out at the Daily Show host on social media after he defended his 41-year-old ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, during a segment on his show on Tuesday, March 15, saying: “You may not feel sorry for Kim because she’s rich and famous. But what she’s going through is terrifying to watch and shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave.”

Trevor Noah responded to the Eazy rapper’s racial slur in the comments section for the original since-deleted Instagram post. (Thank goodness for speedy screenshotters!)

“Damn, here we go again,” Noah began before he proceeded to actually praise the rapper, saying he owed so much to him because of how much he taught him when he was growing up…

“There are few artists who have had more of an impact on me than you Ye,” Noah wrote.

“You took samples and turned them into symphonies. You took your pain and through the wire turned it into performance perfection. I thought differently about how I spend my money because of you.

“I learned to protect my child-like creativity from grown thoughts because of you, s*** I still smile every time I put on a seatbelt because of you.”

The comedian then added that Kanye’s constant social media attacks on not just him, but also his ex-wife and her new boyfriend, 28-year-old SNL star Pete Davidson, among others, actually “breaks” his “heart”…

“You’re an indelible part of my life Ye, which is why it breaks my heart to see you like this,” he continued.

“I don’t care if you support Trump, and I don’t care if you roast Pete. I do, however, care when I see you on a path that’s dangerously close to peril and pain.

“I’ve woken up too many times and read headlines that about men who’ve killed their exes, their kids and then themselves. I never want to read that headline about you.”

And in reference to the racial slur Ye used, Noah said: “Clearly some people graduate, but we still stupid.”

“Don’t ever forget, the biggest trick racists ever played on Black people was teaching us to strip each other of our Blackness whenever we disagree,” he concluded.

“Tricking us into dividing ourselves up into splinters so that we would never unite into a powerful rod.”

We love how mature Trevor Noah has been in all this!

Kanye West has been banned from Instagram for violating the platform’s policies on hate speech, bullying, and harassment, after using a racial slur in a post aimed at 38-year-old comedian Trevor Noah.

Speaking on The Daily Show on Tuesday, Trevor Noah asked his fans not to make jokes about the ongoing feud between the 44-year-old Yeezy designer, his 41-year-old estranged ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and her new beau, 28-year-old SNL comedian, Pete Davidson, because he described what Kanye is putting them through as “terrifying”…

“It’s spun into a story that seems fully tabloid but I think deserves a little more awareness from the general public. I know everyone thinks it’s a big marketing stunt,” Trevor Noah said on his show.

“Two things can be true: Kim likes publicity, Kim is also being harassed. Those things can be happening at the same time.”

He then went on to say: “You may not feel sorry for Kim because she’s rich and famous. But what she’s going through is terrifying to watch and shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave.”

The Eazy rapper didn’t take kindly to Trevor Noah’s words and instantly took to Instagram to bash the comedian by sharing a screenshot of a Google search for Noah, accompanied by the lyrics to Kumbaya, My Lord, which he changed to include a racial slur.

Meta, who owns Facebook and Instagram, has deleted the comment and suspended the rapper from the platform for 24 hours.

Meta also said it would take “additional steps” if it saw further violations of its policies…

“We often take additional steps against accounts that repeatedly break our rules by placing restrictions on their account,” Meta said in a statement.
