Rihanna is officially the richest female musician in the world – and wait ‘til you read just how much the Bajan superstar is worth…

Rihanna has beaten the likes of Queens Beyoncé and Madonna for the title of wealthiest female musician and is worth an eye-watering grand total of $600 Million.

We can’t even get our heads around this figure! Especially when we compare her to Beyoncé, who she overtook by a staggering $200 Million…

Ri Ri’s fortune isn’t solely based on her music though, as a large part of it has come from her partnership with French luxury goods company, LVMH. (They own Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Givenchy, to name just a few.)

It comes as no surprise to learn that Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line (which is owned by LVMH) contributes to a large part of her income. According to Forbes, it generated around $570 Million in revenue in the first 15 months and is reportedly worth an estimated total of $3 Billion. We need to sit down…

And that’s not all. Just last month, it was confirmed that LVMH will be launching Rihanna’s fashion company, Fenty. This is ground-breaking and history-making because it means that she is the first woman of color to head an LVMH fashion house. It will also be LVMH’s first new house since 1987, which is a pretty big deal.

“Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us,” Rihanna said in a statement at the time.

“Mr. Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits.

“I couldn’t imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I’m ready for the world to see what we have built together.”

But the best thing about Rihanna’s lucrative foray into the fashion and beauty world is that it isn’t driven by wealth. She recently told The New York Times that her non-musical business ventures were driven by her happiness as opposed to money. Maybe that’s where so many of us are going wrong?

“Money is happening along the way, but I’m working out of what I love to do, what I’m passionate about,” Rihanna said.

“Work will change when my life changes in the future but an amount of money is not going to stop that.

“The money means that I can take care of my family. The money means that I can facilitate the businesses that I want to. I can create jobs for other people.

“My money is not for me; it’s always the thought that I can help someone else or, in the future, for if I have kids.”

Congratulations Rihanna – keep doing what you’re doing because it’s clearly working!
