Kim Kardashian has bravely decided to continue filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians, despite all the heartache she is facing off camera.

Even though husband Kanye West is still struggling with his mental health, Kim has put on a brave face for the sake of the award-winning reality TV show – just as long as Kanye’s bipolar disorder is not mentioned.

“Kim only put on a happy face when the cameras were on her to be professional, but when cameras were off of her, she clearly had a lot on her mind and was on her phone a lot clearly dealing with family matters at home,” a source revealed to E! News.

“Kanye’s mental health and what she is dealing with currently at home is completely off limits and none of that is being filmed for the show.

“Kim is being very protective of what information is being shared with the public to protect her children and her family and will not allow it to be used as a storyline for her show.”

That’s not to say that Kim hasn’t addressed her husband’s mental health problems, though. Earlier this week, the mom of four spoke out publicly to ask for compassion for her family during this understandably very difficult time…

“We as a society talk about giving grace to the issue of mental health as a whole, however we should also give it to the individuals who are living with it in times when they need it the most,” Kim said in a statement which she shared to her Instagram Story.

“I kindly ask that the media and public give us the compassion and empathy that is needed so that we can get through this. Thank you for those who have expressed concern for Kanye’s well being and for your understanding.”

She went on to say that, ordinarily, she would not comment on Kanye’s mental health issues in order to protect their children. However, she revealed that she wants to do her bit to raise awareness for the “stigma and misconceptions about mental health”

“As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand,” she continued.

“I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.

“Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor.

“People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.”

According to reports, Kim Kardashian and their four children – North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm – are currently remaining in California, while Kanye West has been with Damon Dash in Kody, Wyoming.

“He hasn’t seen the kids in a week,” an insider told E! News.

“Kim has been trying to fly to Wyoming to get Kanye help and he is refusing it. She wants to help him and has been trying for over a month now. Kanye’s behavior has progressively gotten worse.

“Kanye doesn’t think he needs help. He has many friends who have been checking in on him.”

We hope Kanye West will get the help he needs.
