Although she’s still very much in the public eye, it’s no secret that Kim Kardashian has changed the way she lives her life since the horrific Paris robbery two years ago.

The reality TV star turned businesswoman sat down with Alec Baldwin on his new show, The Alec Baldwin Show, to talk about how her life has changed since the incident and even told the talk show host that she was somewhat “grateful” for the experience…

“My life has definitely changed a lot in the last two years,” she said.

“For a good year, I almost lost myself. I was never depressed, but I wasn’t motivated to get up and work like I used to. It shook me.

“There was a lot of me that measured who I was by how much I had. I thought, ‘Oh, I’m worth so much’. That needed to change in me.”

She then explained that she was “grateful” for the experience as it allowed her to change her life for the better…

“Even though it was horrific and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, it really did deeply change me to where now I feel like I can get back to myself.

“I felt like I was living in a bubble, and that opened me up to so much.”

But it wasn’t just the Paris robbery that changed the way Kim Kardashian feels about the spotlight.

She admitted to Alec Baldwin that her pre-Kanye West days involved seeking out the hottest places for maximum media attention, which now couldn’t be further from what she wants…

“We would get our hair and makeup done after we filmed the show. Then it was like: ‘I was like what is the hottest restaurant in Hollywood? Where can I go? Where can I be seen? Who is there? What are they doing? Who is there?’ Everything had to be public for me back then,” she added.

“Now it’s, ‘where can I go on vacation where nobody will see us?’ All I want is privacy. I never thought that I would be at that point.”

We definitely think the robbery, plus meeting Kanye West and becoming a parent to three gorgeous children has changed the way Kim approaches the spotlight. Who agrees?

Happy belated birthday, Kim!
