With the COVID-19 pandemic with us, we are definitely going to see some ‘different’ Halloween costume trends 2020. The whole affair is going to be different. For some people, because of social distancing, there won’t be the usual Halloween parties where one can show off their costume. R. Kelly’s request to be released from prison over Covid-19 concerns has officially been denied by a federal judge.

The 53-year-old disgraced R&B singer is currently held without bail in a federal prison in Chicago over several sex crime charges.

According to reports, his lawyers have described him as being in the ‘at risk’ category, due to having emergency hernia surgery back in January, which is why they have requested his release from the prison.

However, according to U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly of the Eastern District of New York, the singer is younger than the age group that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention deem to be in the high-risk category.

She also pointed out that, due to his history, he could be “a flight risk or a danger to the community” if released on bail…

“While I am sympathetic to the defendant’s understandable anxiety about Covid-19, he has not established compelling reasons warranting his release,” U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly said.

“At present, there are no confirmed cases of Covid-19 at the MCC in Chicago.

“The Bureau of Prisons has announced emergency measures to protect inmates and staff, including suspending all legal and social visits, suspending inmate facility transfers, making soap available to inmates, screening and testing inmates and staff, and modifying operations at detention facilities like the MCC to maximize social distancing.”

The singer must, therefore, remain in custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago, Illinois, until further notice.

He is currently awaiting two federal trials for child pornography and sexual assault charges in Chicago; and racketeering, transportation to engage in illegal sexual activity, and coercion of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity charges in New York.

The New York trial is currently scheduled for July, while the Chicago trial is scheduled for October.

R. Kelly is expected to plead ‘not guilty’ to all charges.

Yesterday, we brought you the wonderful news that Jenna Dewan and Steve Kazee – who are currently expecting their first child together – had gotten engaged.

However, we were unaware of how Jenna’s ex-husband Channing Tatum took the news…

We assumed there would be no hard feelings, considering he is a) enjoying an on/off (but right now, very much on) relationship with British singer Jessie J. And b) the fact that he had nothing but kind words to say when Jenna told him that she was pregnant with her second child, way before making the announcement on social media.

(She and Channing are also proud parents to six-year-old daughter Everly, so will always be in each other’s lives.)

As expected Channing Tatum has handled the situation with grace and dignity. Although he has yet to address the engagement publically, insiders claim that he is “very happy” for his ex-wife…

“Channing is very happy for Jenna and Steve’s engagement. Channing has expressed that he is happy Jenna is in a good place and has moved on,” an insider told E! News.

“Jenna has a special place in Channing’s heart since she is the mother of their child, but they have both moved on and are happy in their new relationships.

“Channing’s main priority and concern is his daughter, and him and Jenna are both happy to have worked out a co-parenting agreement.”

We assume that Channing will extend his congratulations to the newly engaged couple in person, as they reportedly still see each other quite often for the sake of their daughter…

“They will be doing all kinds of family things together,” a separate source previously said about Channing and Jenna’s co-parenting routine.

“They want to keep her routine the same… Nothing is going to change in her life and she has two parents who will be very involved in everything she does.”

We hope the rest of Hollywood can learn something from Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan.

There’s no denying it, Billie Eilish is the woman of the moment. Some might even say, the Justin Bieber of 2020.

And that is why the 25-year-old Canadian superstar, who found fame at a very early age, has vowed to protect the 18-year-old Bad Guy singer from the industry, so she doesn’t go through what he went through while he was growing up in the public eye…

“I definitely feel protective of her,” Justin Bieber said in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.

“It was hard for me, being that young and being in the industry and not knowing where to turn and everyone telling me they loved me, and just turning their back on you in a second.

“Yeah, it’s hard, because I want her to know that she can count on me. But at the end of the day I’m never going to force myself to be in a relationship with her, it has to be natural, right?

“So I just kind of let her do her thing and if she ever needs me, I’m gonna be here for her, but just protecting those moments because people take for granted encounters.”

He didn’t end there, as he began to tear up before adding that he doesn’t “want her to go through anything” that he went through at her age…

“I just wanna protect her, you know? I don’t want her to lose it. I don’t want her to go through anything I went through. I don’t wish that upon anybody. So if she ever needs me, I’m just a call away.”

We like this look on him! And the sentiment didn’t go unnoticed, as Billie Eilish responded to his comments in the cutest way…

The singer – who has just become the youngest musician in history to record the James Bond theme song – shared a clip from the interview to her Instagram, with the caption, “stream changes”, to encourage her fans to listen to JB’s new record which was released on February 14.

She also added a series of old pictures of herself wearing Justin Bieber merchandise, and also shared a picture of her childhood bedroom which featured pictures of the Canadian musician on the wall. Safe to say, she wants everyone to know that she has been a Justin Bieber fan for years!

And to top it all off, Justin replied to her comment with, “Love you !!!” while his wife Hailey Baldwin, now Hailey Bieber, responded with a heart emoji. Many other A-listers, from Jameela Jamil to Naomi Campbell, also reacted to the post with positive messages.

We love it when the music industry, and A-listers in general, come together to support each other!

1. Playing dumb and being arrogant and demeaning

If you are the kind of woman that thinks that men are threatened and repelled by smart women, then think again. If a man is the right kind of man looking for a healthy relationship, then he will be attracted by confident, smart women. Trust me when I tell you you will never have a good relationship if you are dating a man who is intimidated by your smartness. That kind of man will bring you down, toy with your self-esteem and before you know it, you are his helpless puppet.

Lady, you need to find a man who values your intelligence… A man who likes you for you and who you can be yourself around him.

If you are not stupid, then don’t play stupid. All it will do will push him right into the arms of a girl who us smatter. When Kim Kardashian isn’t walking red carpets, raising her four adorable children, and filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she is training hard to be a criminal justice lawyer. And she has also found time in her busy schedule to film a documentary about it!

Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project will air on April 5 on Oxygen, and will see the reality TV star turned law apprentice talking to prison inmates about what led to them landing themselves behind bars.

In the two-hour documentary, she also works alongside a team of legal experts on a number of cases in which they believe have resulted in the inmates being unfairly and wrongly sentenced.

“Once you hear the circumstances that led them to make those decisions, your heart would completely open up,” Kim Kardashian said in an interview with The AP.

“I hope that this is a step to opening up people’s hearts and minds. And then hopefully they can help with changing some actual laws that really do have to be changed.”

Kim unveiled the trailer on her Instagram, and we have to admit that it looks pretty interesting…

“There is a mass incarceration problem in the United States,” she says at the beginning of the trailer.

“I went into this knowing nothing, and then my heart completely opened up. People deserve a second chance.”

Kim has just completed the first year of her apprenticeship program and hopes to take the notoriously difficult bar exam in 2022.

There are fresh concerns over Amanda Bynes this week, as the 33-year-old actress has reportedly fled the sober living facility she voluntarily checked herself into a few months ago.

The facility has stern guidelines in terms of drug testing, as well as a strict curfew, which is why the star’s friends and family are concerned that she could have gone off the rails.

According to The Blast, Amanda “bailed on her sober living facility” and also “dropped out of school”.

The school the source was referring to was a fashion design school, as the actress wanted to continue to pursue her dreams of a fashion career.

Last October, she trademarked “Vintage by Amanda Bynes” in the hopes of using it on clothes, cosmetics, jewelry, and even furniture and household containers.

She already graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising back in June, earning an Associate’s degree in Fashion Design. She then went on to further study, but we’re not too sure where that currently stands as she has “dropped out”…

“She dropped out of the FIDM bachelor degree program she enrolled in… and is not working,” a source revealed to E! News.

Although the source confirmed that the Amanda Show star is currently not working and her family is unsure where she is actually living at the moment, she is certainly not short on money. Especially now that she has reportedly bailed on the conservatorship that was put in place by the Ventura County Court…

“She has access to her money so she’s financially independent,” the source said, adding that, despite many people’s concerns, Amanda is “not doing drugs again.”

However, the source confirmed that her sobriety is “always the concern.”

Amanda Bynes is now rumored to be going back to court to have her mother Lynn removed as conservator, with ‘a third party’ put in charge instead.

Did you know that dating a vegan can just be as dating someone who loves their meat as you do? All that is required is just having an open mind. The thing is, more people are changing their lifestyles to be more plant-based. It’s not just a celebrity thing. Everything seems to be moving to vegan. Subway, Chipotle… Even Bill Gates is funding vegan mayo. So, the chances of meeting someone who is vegan are higher. But does this mean that your relationship will be weird or one that won’t work?

Read on as I give you my personal experience on how vegan dating a meat eater can actually work…

So you’re dating a vegan

Much as dating a vegan might not be essentially different from dating a fellow meat-eater, it can be a little rocky. But that doesn’t mean that being vegan in a relationship with someone who loves their meat won’t work. This is why we are bringing you this guide on how which will highlight things like dating, eating out, cooking and how to have a lasting “vegan-meat-eater” relationship.

All relationships, no matter what the dynamics begin with a conversation. And it goes well, a chance of a date presents itself. Now unless you are the person who is and a potential partner being a meat eater is a deal-breaker or vice versa, then you need not worry and start doubting the success of your relationship before it has begun. Besides picking veggies and making meals separately, there is a lot of great activities that the two of you can engage in without having to bring food in the picture.

Below are some tips on how you can spend time together, cook together, among other tips.

Date ideas

Go to an animal sanctuary

If you are dating a vegan girl one of the best ways to show her that you really care about her eating choices is to take her on a date to an animal sanctuary. This will definitely show her that you respect her choice of not eating meat because, for some vegans, the decision to stop eating meat stems from how they don’t like the idea of slaughtering animals for food.

Visit and art gallery or museum

Well, this is if your date loves art or history.  I had to pay attention to some of the things she cited as her hobbies and the next date I suggested that. Arts aren’t just limited to museums or galleries. You can go to a fashion event, an open-air concert or even a play.

Wine tasting

This was by far the easiest date idea I tried when dating a vegan woman. The thing is, it gave me the courage and relaxed my nerves. So consider visiting a winery. It is grapes. You won’t go wrong here.

Just aimlessly take a stroll

This is one of the instances when keeping things simple really works. You are on a date and you don’t really need to do anything fancy. You can walk around as you get to know each other. And while at it, you might bump into some interesting activity you can spontaneously do together such as renting bikes and racing…

Try out some active date ideas

Get ahead but trying out some active date ideas. Moving away from our comfort zones can really help spice up our love lives or get ahead in the dating game. Some ideas to consider are hiking, river rafting, indoor rock climbing, carnivals or state fairs, skydiving, roller skating, camping, mountain biking, horse riding… Those are just but a few options that have come to mind. All I am trying to show the person dating a vegan girl that the options are endless…

Cooking options…

The way to a man’s heart is through the stomach. I guess the reverse applies to women as they really respect and feel very appreciated when a man isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty in the kitchen. So when I was ready to invite my vegan potential mate to my own space, I decided to cook her a meal. Now if you are someone who is dating a person who is vegetarian, then it makes it even more special because in their case, you have their special dietary considerations to consider.

If this person you are getting to know is vegan, please don’t just make yourself some juicy steak then you hand them over a not-thought-out bean burger. Appear thoughtful. How about looking for a colorful plant-based recipe and try your hand at it.

I realized that there are lots of beginner recipes if it’s your first time to prepare a vegan meal. No matter how it comes out, this person will appreciate the effort you made and they will realize just how much you respect and care about their dietary choices.

There are also some ‘meaty’ vegan recipes you can consider if your significant other is a meat lover. Well below are some of the dishes you can cook together that you can both enjoy without making the vegan partner sacrifice their values. Lucky for you, these days, almost anything is vegan. Benefits of your sex life when dating a vegan

So you’re dating a vegan. Are there some benefits to your sex life? Well, some researchers believe it might.

Well eating a plant-based diet is known to boost blood circulation. And this kind of circulation is not only the blood circulation to our brains or other parts of our bodies… but also to our sexual organs. Now if you are a meat-eater, now that you are dating a vegan woman you will find some of her eating habits will start rubbing off on you especially if she is the one who will be preparing most of your meals.

Most vegan foods like dark chocolate, leafy greens, fruits, cayenne pepper, beetroot… do boost blood circulation. And the better the circulation, the more responsive you will be to your partner’s sexual advances and touch… and the better the orgasms.

Award-winning Filmmaker James Cameron is the one who made my day. He believes that Viagra can go out of business if more men followed a plant-based diet. Apparently, this was put to clinical tests in his forthcoming film “The Game Changers” where three men participated to measure the girth and length of their penises. According to Cameron, all three men had better erections after the vegan diet telling the Star: “I’d love to put Viagra out of business, just by spreading the word on plant-based eating.”

Other tips on how to date a vegan

Respect their values and boundaries

… But this doesn’t mean that now you relinquish your own. Your meat-eating values are just as important. If you met when you are vegan and you never made any promises of ditching your bacon in the future, then your vegan mate shouldn’t expect you to stop your meat. Being vegan in a relationship requires one to be as respectful of their mate’s dietary options as they expect them to do in return. That said, both of you need to compromise.

You need to strike a balance when choosing restaurants to bigger things like one not allowing meat in the house. So if you are vegan dating a meat eater, open your communication lines and find a middle ground. If you are not comfortable with meat in the house, then try cooking in separate pans.

Have an open mind

Sometimes, most omnivores seem to have a misconception about what being vegan really is about. There are those who might perceive it to be an anti-meat movement. But the truth of the matter is that vegans come in different forms – philosophers, juice junkies, foodies… There is a whole long continuum. So if you really like someone, then drop your pre-existing notions of a vegan is and let your partner show you. The answer to why they chose a vegan lifestyle might be more shocking that you thought or expected.

Show some interest

I am not saying that now you go vegan. You need to understand that vegans are very passionate about veganism. So if they want to go for a vegan food festival, offer to go with your partner.

Be flexible

When dating a vegan, the most daunting bit can be their social aspect. So barbecues or a simple dinner with friends can turn out to be something else… AWKWARD! You might find that they have carried their veggie burgers. This doesn’t mean that they are up-tight. Believe me, being vegan in a relationship with a meat-eater is also hard for them. So if he or she is flexible enough to attend your meat gobbling barbecues, that cut them some slack and find a way to get then some vegan-friendly alternative.

Research about veganism

Always do your research beforehand about how vegan-friendly a restaurant is before asking your partner out on a date. Also before you pick something out, make sure you double-check the ingredients… from the juice to condoms! Checking the labels beforehand or asking before the purchase shows your thoughtful and considerate side.

Be ready to taste or try out some of the plant-based foods

Most plant-based diets might seem boring, or look and sound foreign. But no matter how they sound, if the food is good, it is food. So long as it has been prepared well, if your partner insists on you trying it out then do so. So when they cook their vegetarian meals, be open to at least try and nibble some of it.

The thing is just like all romantic relationships, dating a vegan comes with its perks as well as its challenges. It’s not any more difficult than dating your fellow omnivore. All it takes is an open mind, willingness to compromise and probably having to switch to vegan condoms. Both the sexual benefits, who won’t want to buy the condoms or eat a plant-based diet?

We all need to understand one another if a relationship is meant to work. Plus, the heart wants what it wants. So if the person you like is vegan and you want to make it work, trust me it will. There are lots of meat alternatives that you can enjoy together. So don’t let one’s dietary choices stand in the way of finding true love. Give it a try.

The world is in mourning, as legendary actor John Witherspoon (left) has sadly passed away at the age of 77.

“It is with deep sadness we have to tweet this, but our husband and father John Witherspoon has passed away,” read a statement issued by his family.

“He was a Legend in the entertainment industry, and a father figure to all who watched him over the years.

“We love you ‘POPS’ always and forever.”

The Friday actor leaves behind his wife Angela, and his two sons, Alexander and JD.

The cause of death has not been revealed, although it’s been reported that the actor passed away in his sleep.

As well as being mourned by his family, countless fans and fellow A-listers have paid their respects on social media.

“My dad, my grandpa, my comedic inspiration!” Regina King wrote on Twitter.

“I love you Spoons! Rest In Paradise, King.”

Ice Cube also shared a message on Twitter…

“I’m devastated over the passing of John Witherspoon. Life won’t be as funny without him,” Ice Cube wrote.

One of John Witherspoon’s most famous roles was as Ice Cube’s grumpy dad in the 1995 movie, Friday.

Some of his other memorable films included Hollywood Shuffle, Boomerang, Vampire in Brooklyn, The Ladies Man, and Fakin’ Da Funk, as well as Friday sequels Next Friday and Friday After Next.

He also provided the unmistakable voice of Gramps on The Boondock, appeared regularly on The Late Show with David Letterman, and continued to perform as a stand-up comedian.

He was due to perform on the Stand Up Live stage next month, with tickets being promoted on social media just a few days before his death.

RIP John Witherspoon – you will never be forgotten!
