We are delighted with the news that Playboy has finally selected a black Playmate of the Year – and it’s none other than 25-year-old stunner Jordan Emanuel!

“Jordan embodies everything we value at Playboy: she advocates for equality and sexual freedom, she speaks out on what she believes in, and she’s committed to lifting up the voices of others,” the magazine wrote on Instagram after making the announcement.

The 25-year-old December 2018 Playboy cover star being named Playmate of the Year means that she will go down in history, joining the one and only Jennifer Jackson in the record books.

(Jennifer Jackson made history by being the first African American woman to be named Playmate of the month, back in 1965. Hers is a name we will never forget!)

Wearing the infamous Playboy bunny ears is just a small fraction of the things Jordan Emanuel occupies her time with. Following her previous struggles with anxiety and depression, she co-founded the non-profit organization ‘Women With Voices’ and dedicates a lot of her time to it. Playboy has even donated $10,000 to the cause.

According to reports, the organization “provides support, guidance and resources for women, and whose services include workshops, wig donations for women battling cancer, counseling sessions and more.”

“I knew there needed to be a space where women of all financial backgrounds, races and ages could learn from and support one another,” Jordan wrote in her official profile.

Playboy might not be the only thing you recognize Jordan from, as she was also crowned ‘Miss Black America New York of 2018’. A huge honor! She stood out from the rest of her competitors not just because of her looks, but because she spoke so passionately about women’s rights.

What a woman!
